Ruth is the National Director of The Miscarriage Association - a charity that was founded in 1982 by a group of people who had experienced miscarriage.
This wonderful charity is a resource for anyone embarking, or currently on their parenting journey and provides further information on loss in pregnancy. The charity also has a closed online forum where parents who suffer loss in pregnancy, can chat with other parents, or just watch from afar and take comfort in the fact they're not alone. They also provide telephone support and in some areas, face-to-face support groups. Finally, the charity has a very touching memorial page: 'Stars of Remembrance' where anyone can post a memorial to a lost life.
The charity is always trying to raise awareness of miscarriage and enable individuals and couples come to terms with what has happened. In addition, the charity promotes good practice in medical care.
