Al Ferguson is a Dad to 3 children and Founder of the The Dad Network, which combines a personal blog with an ever-growing community of dads. The Dad Network was originally created as a personal outlet for Al Ferguson following a devastating miscarriage on his wedding day, but it has grown into one of the largest online networks for dads-to-be and dads-right-now, with a strong following in the UK and US.
The Dad Network has gone on to provide support to thousands of dads across the world and has a closed and very active online group of 10,000 dads, a one day 'DadCon' conference for dads of all types, shapes and sizes in London and is closely linked to the National At-Home Dad Network in the USA. The Dad Network has grown so much, it is Al's main job (as well as being a dad!).
Al used to be a primary school teacher and along with his wife Jen, who also used to be a primary school teacher, they are redefining modern parenting. Both talk publicly about their battle with recurrent miscarriage and have provided a very personal take on miscarriage for The Parenting Chapter, to help other couples come to terms with this very sad aspect of a parent's journey.
