Annie is CEO of Neighbourhood Midwives and has been a qualified midwife for over 17 years, starting her midwifery course in the same month as her youngest son Arthur started school. Annie and her husband Peter have four children, all now in their 20s. Three of them were born at home with the same midwife and the care Caroline gave Annie and her family over those years, was Annie's inspiration for becoming a midwife - that same continuity lies at the heart of everything that Neighbourhood Midwives offers to expectant parents.
Like every other member of the Neighbourhood Midwives team, Annie is passionate about providing a safe, personalised service for parents and their baby, from the moment they book with Neighbourhood Midwives. As CEO, her lifelong ambition and goal is for the model of care that Neighbourhood Midwives offers to become a real choice for all women having a baby in the UK, regardless of their circumstances. In March 2015, Annie was invited to become a member of the National Maternity Review recently announced by NHS England.
